Silky Terriers are a friendly, happy breed with a sociable, easy-going temperament. They love to feel a part of the family and can be quite protective of their loved ones. They generally get along well with other dogs, but would also happy to be on their own.
Silkies have marvelous coats that neither shed nor smell. They are very easy to maintain if kept short with a trim every month or so - just a quick brush a couple of times a week keeps them comfortable and looking great! Plus you have the option of a longer, more glamorous coat if you are willing to brush and comb thoroughly each day.
